Cambrian Photography in Colwyn Bay is a familiar name with photography professionals and enthusiasts across North Wales. |
The largest photographic retailer in the region, the family-run business has been looking after the needs of photographers since 1946, developing its range of services over the years to include repairs, equipment hire, framing, photo studio facilities, photography courses and commercial, portrait and wedding photography.
Since 2003, the business has worked with Gareth Hughes & Co as its accountants. Bev Duncalf, one of Cambrian Photography’s three directors, explains: “Our old accountant was retiring and as I had known Gareth for many years, he was an automatic choice. Gareth met our old accountant and the transfer was quite amicable.”
Gareth Hughes & Co supports Cambrian Photography with a range of services, including management and annual accounts, VAT and tax matters while the directors particularly appreciate knowing they can give the firm a call at any time if they have a query.
Bev says: “The Gareth Hughes’ team is very friendly and you can always speak to someone who will answer your question. For example, when the VAT rate changed in December 2008, we were struggling a bit with that, so it was good to be able to ask their advice.
“I like the fact that you are never made to feel they don’t want you to ring them, no matter how silly you think your question might be, and they speak to you in a language that you can understand.”
