Marcus Wilkes

Marcus Wilkes’ accountancy career began in 1992, although his training was subsequently interrupted by four years as a professional golfer. He went on to complete his training with a large practice in Chester, where he became a client manager in the business services team. A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, he joined Gareth Hughes & Co in 2003 and became a director in June 2007. |
Marcus has experience in working with a wide range of clients, from sole traders and limited companies to private clients, and specialises in care and nursing homes and caravan parks. His expertise includes personal taxation, tax planning for individuals and companies and trust and estate work.
He is also responsible for IT within the practice and advises clients on in-house IT solutions and accounting systems and their implementation.
